Family vehicles are received somewhat differently from other segments, but they still have their own market. They are presented as more versatile than a traditional saloon, as they offer a large loading space. But among estate cars there is one type that is especially popular: those with a clearly sporty character. This is the case of the Subaru Levorg, which comes from a manufacturer with great experience in this type of vehicle.

The Subaru Levorg arrives with a new restyling, which gives it a fresher and more modern look. But we don’t only find styling improvements; there are also improvements in safety and technology. The new family car from the Japanese brand comes with four-wheel drive as standard in all versions, but this is not its only novelty.

The new Levorg is presented as a much safer estate than its previous version. The brand has made sure to incorporate new systems and to adjust those we already knew. This is the case of EyeSight, which serves as a preventive safety measure. This system includes eight different functions, which stand out for featuring automatic pre-collision braking, adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist, among others.

The lane-keeping system has been adjusted to work down to a minimum speed of 60 km/h, compared with 65 km/h in the previous version. Furthermore, the new Levorg features adaptive LED headlights, which light the road according to the steering angle. This allows better visibility when driving your Subaru Levorg at night. Finally, the new Japanese estate incorporates a rear-view camera, which will make parking the vehicle easier.

As far as styling is concerned, the new Subaru Levorg features a new front bumper with a more modern grille, highlighted by the new LED headlights, and new two-tone 18″ alloy wheels. Inside, there are also various improvements, such as the multifunction display, which grows to 5.9 inches. It also has new carbon-fibre-look trim and the seats feature electric adjustment.

As for the mechanics, there are no differences and the Levorg keeps its 1.6 turbo boxer petrol engine with direct injection, which produces 170 CV. But this considerable upgrade of the overall package comes at a price: the new Subaru Levorg starts at 28,900 euros and goes up to 33,900 for its top variant.
