The new Suzuki Vitara will arrive this very autumn
This vehicle is one of the most representative models of the Japanese brand in recent decades, a car that has kept adapting to the demands of the market so that, for this new decade, it is already preparing the arrival of what will be the new Suzuki Vitara.
Launched in 2015, it underwent an extensive facelift for 2019, which is still offered at the brand’s dealerships, a styling update that also added to the engines and the range the hybrid Suzuki Vitara Hybrid variant, which, in its AllGrip Select version, offered a four-wheel-drive system and four driving modes that guaranteed an optimal response from the electrified powertrain.
Be that as it may, the Suzuki Vitara 2021 will appear before the end of this same 2020, according to a report from the Japanese magazine Best Car Magazine. In fact, the colleagues from the Asian publication assure that the first units of the next generation will make their debut next October.
Sketching the new Suzuki Vitara
The new model will have larger dimensions than the current one, so we understand it will be more than 4.2 metres long, close to 1.8 metres wide and 1.6 metres tall, while maintaining a wheelbase of around 2.5 metres.
Although its construction will be based on the same as the current generation, the new Suzuki Vitara will enjoy a significant update to its architecture. In this way, the aim will be to further improve the handling of this car, making it one of the most suitable SUVs for off-road excursions.
As for the engine, it is expected to feature the 1.4 Turbo BoosterJet K14D block, also supported by a mild hybrid electric system, MHEV, as it is now, so it is feasible that it will keep the same power and torque (129 CV and 235 Nm) linked to all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. Likewise, the other engines, the 1.6 and the 1.4, both naturally aspirated, would also be available on the market.

As for its styling, the colleagues from the Japanese magazine preview with a sketch the appearance they believe the new Suzuki Vitara will have, now tougher and less urban, more in keeping with the more classic off-roader look that previous generations have shown.
Thanks to a higher side line that lines up with the redesigned headlights and the front grille, the furrowed brow of this render reveals a more abrupt face which, in this unofficial recreation, is complemented by a bumper with protection against impacts typical of off-road vehicles.
