The new Volkswagen Jetta is now available in Spain

The updated model is distinguished by changes to the grille, bumpers, rear lights, some interior materials and the steering wheel design, among other details. The trim levels and optional packs have also been enhanced.

The VAG group began November by announcing a generous batch of updates and improvements to some of its models. Alongside the renewals of the Audi Q3 and the A1 and A1 Sportback, as well as the new additions to the Beetle range, come the changes applied to the Volkswagen Jetta. Spanish dealers are already accepting orders for the new model, which goes on sale from €20,030.

At the front, the grille now features three horizontal bars instead of two, the main light units and the daytime running LEDs have been slightly revised, and the bumper has a new design. The rear changes consist of new shapes for the rear lights, the bumper and the boot lid.

The cabin conveys a sense of higher quality thanks to new decorative materials on the dashboard and door trims, improved upholstery, refreshed steering wheels and more pleasant ambient lighting along the interior door handles and footwell area. In addition, Volkswagen has introduced additional shades to the exterior colour palette.

The engine range remains as before, with the exception that, initially, the Jetta Hybrid disappears. The petrol options are the 1.2 TSI with 105 CV and the 1.4 TSI with 120 and 150 CV (the latter paired with the seven-speed DSG gearbox); the diesel options are the 2.0 TDI with 110 CV (available with a five-speed manual or seven-speed DSG) and 150 CV (manual and six-speed DSG).

The Jetta is offered in two equipment levels. The base version, called Advance, includes as standard six airbags, Climatic air conditioning, a three-spoke leather steering wheel with aluminium inserts and an on-board computer. The most complete version, the Sport, adds to the above fog lights, a multifunction steering wheel, 16″ alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, Tempomat cruise control and sport seats with lumbar adjustment.

If the customer wishes to complete that specification, they can choose the optional packs Advance Multifunción, Advance Plus and Sport & More, which add more features at more competitive prices. Among the new driver assistance technologies are Side Assist, which prevents unintended lane changes, and Exit Assist, which warns of obstacles when reversing out of a parking space.
