The new Volkswagen Passat goes on sale in Spain from €33,520
Volkswagen has updated the Passat with a redesigned look and greater technological equipment, including autonomous driving, which we can enjoy in Spain

The Volkswagen Passat is one of the most successful models from the German brand, with more than 30 million units sold over its history, surpassed only by the Golf, which exceeds 35 million units, which is why Volkswagen takes great care of its historic saloon, which was in need of some updating, particularly in terms of design, but also in technology.
The new Volkswagen Passat had already started going on sale in certain European markets, but it is now also available in Spain, arriving with a renewed look that adapts to the design language of the brand’s latest models. The most significant changes in terms of design are the new front and rear bumpers, the first of which affects other components the most, as the grille has also been modified and, consequently, the LED light units and LED fog lights as well. We should also not forget the rear, which has a new look and also adopts LED technology.

Its colour palette has also been expanded with the arrival of the new Electric Blue, Bottle Green and Nickel Gold, while four new wheel designs will also be available in sizes of 17, 18 and 19 inches. In addition, certain design elements will be exclusive to the trim level you choose, ranging from lowest to highest Passat, Business, Executive and R-Line, which will be available for the four versions on offer: Passat, Passat Variant, Alltrack and GTE.
But the biggest changes to the new Volkswagen Passat will undoubtedly be found inside, with renewed technology and new systems, such as the various technologies grouped under IQ.DRIVE, which allow autonomous driving at virtually any speed and make it the first Volkswagen to use the Travel Assist system. It will not be the only debut, as it will also feature a capacitive touch-sensitive steering wheel, and the new Digital Cockpit with new graphics, functions and screen configurations.

Continuing with the technology side, the improved Lane Assist system also stands out, as it now uses a multifunction camera. The adoption of the third generation of the modular infotainment system MIB3 is also noteworthy, allowing numerous connectivity functions such as App-Connect Wireless and new technologies through the Volkswagen We services or integrated online mobile services.
In terms of mechanicals, the new Volkswagen Passat will offer a range of eight engines, of which three will be petrol with outputs of 150 CV, 190 CV and 272 CV, while four belong to the diesel range, with outputs of 120 CV, 150 CV, 190 CV and 240 CV. The final engine is reserved for the Passat GTE, which is the plug-in hybrid version with 218 CV and an all-electric range of 56 km.

The new Volkswagen Passat can now be ordered in the Spanish market, with a starting price of €33,520 for the Passat trim with the 1.6 TDI 120 CV engine and DSG automatic gearbox. First deliveries will begin next October.
