The presentation of the new S60, V60 and XC60 at the Geneva Motor Show will be echoed in the Spanish market, where the new variants of these models have just gone on sale. Priority has been given to quite significant aesthetic changes for some of them, along with the addition of more equipment and engines that are even more efficient than those of the previous variants.

The S60 and the V60 estate will have more equipment. Volvo offers no fewer than six different versions of both models, with a wide combination of equipment, engines and transmissions. The versions will be Básico, Kinetic, Momentum, Summum, R-Design Kinetic and R-Design Momentum, with extensive standard equipment from the Básico, the entry-level model in the range.

The Básico trim will include automatic air conditioning, LED daytime running lights, a full electric pack, trip computer, CD MP3 radio with a five-inch colour screen, auxiliary audio input, front centre armrest, ESP, TCS, ABS, EBD and multiple airbags, among other features. The V60 estate will soon also offer the plug-in hybrid version, the Volvo V60 Plug-In.

The engine range consists of three petrol engines, the 240 CV T5, the 304 CV T6 and a 180 CV 1.6 T, and four diesels, with power outputs between 115 and 215 CV. Some models can be fitted with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

As for the XC60, it has received an exterior update, particularly at the front. It now has a slightly larger grille than before, more generous lower air intakes and the indicators have been repositioned, now integrated into the lights.

As with the S60 and V60, the engine range is much more efficient, with two of the engines from the previous line-up carried over to the Spanish range. These are the T5 and T6 petrol engines, plus the D3 and D4 diesels, along with the all-wheel drive D4 and D5 versions, the most powerful of which produces 215 CV.

The prices of all models will be as follows:

  • S60 1.6T 180 CV Flexifuel, from 34,300 euros.
