This electric prototype with autonomous driving capabilities is not an upcoming model from Nissan, but a concept car that previews the brand’s technology.

This month the Japan Mobility Show 2023 event is taking place in Japan, and Nissan will present all the new releases planned for the coming months. But besides all that, Nissan has also wanted to bring several concept models that take mobility a step further than its current models. Three models show us the company’s future. The Hyper Adventure Concept and the Hyper Urban SUV Concept were presented a few weeks ago, and now it is the turn of the Nissan Hyper Tourer Concept.

This new concept model just presented by Nissan is a minivan which, like the other previous concept models, bears no resemblance to the design of the current models. On the front of the vehicle we find very pronounced and completely new lines. It is joined to the rear by a thin LED line running along the sides, creating a very attractive look.

The design of the doors and wheels is also interesting, and there is very good natural lighting thanks to the large glazed surfaces. The interior aims to be very friendly to its occupants, and thanks to its autonomous driving capabilities, they can enjoy the journey, even turning the front seats around to face the rear ones.

In addition, rear occupants can use a screen in front of them which, besides offering audiovisual content, can control the information and entertainment functions of the front screen, giving a sense of unity throughout the cabin.

All of this will disappear in a possible production model, but as a concept model, it offers a very pleasant and attractive future for the occupants of this type of vehicle. To enhance this well-being, an artificial intelligence allows the cabin’s environmental conditions to be adapted to the occupants’ needs.

As for the mechanics, this electric prototype features solid-state batteries and an e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive system. Furthermore, the vehicle has a Vehicle to Everything (V2X) function, which will allow the onboard battery to power devices and other external elements, both tools and homes, if necessary.
