The Nissan Juke R, production version from 500,000 Euros with 545cv
Following the success of the Nissan Juke R prototypes, the Japanese firm has decided to put it into production with some changes affecting the engine and bodywork. It will start from 500,000€.

A few years ago it was unthinkable to see SUVs capable of outperforming true supercars on the roads, but times change and brands adapt to whatever comes along. Months ago Nissan announced two prototypes based on the Juke which had been fitted with the heart and guts of the GT-R. Their success was such that they will now go into production.
For the time being, the first unit has already been built and tested and is currently on its way to the garage of its lucky owner. The Japanese firm states that the exact price of the Juke R depends on the specifications requested by each buyer, but noted that it starts at a whopping 500,000€, that is, more than five times what they ask for a GT-R.

In the prototypes, the 3.8-litre Twin Turbo V6 was boosted to 485cv. In the production model, the heart of this mutant beast receives the update the GT-R already received for its 2012 variant.
With the new 545cv it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 275 km/h, figures that frighten any mere mortal. In this way, and at least over the quarter mile, it would comfortably beat the McLaren MP4-12C or the Ferrari F12berlinetta.

In addition to modifications to the powertrain, it also receives design improvements, creating smoother lines within the limits of the vehicle. The side skirts, a closed front bumper, exhaust pipes that protrude even further, a rear diffuser and carbon fibre seats with the model’s initials stitched onto the headrests are its new features.
Now we just need to see who the next madmen will be, capable of paying half a million euros for an exclusive and fierce Nissan Juke, surely some oil sheikh. Below you can watch a video of unit #001 in action.
