Nissan Pulsar Compact Range / versions Salón de Madrid
The Nissan Pulsar is now official

Nissan has now revealed all the details of its new compact model, the Pulsar. A few days ago we already gave you a preview of the launch of this Nissan.
It is a major bet by the Japanese company, which is entering directly into one of the most contested segments on the market. The first units will arrive in autumn of this year.
The Pulsar features a carefully crafted design that is slightly reminiscent of the electric Leaf. The front end stands out above all, very eye-catching thanks to its LED headlights. The grille follows the shapes of the latest models in the Nissan family, in a V shape.

From the side, the generous wheelbase stands out, which in this model reaches 2.7 metres. Thanks to this, we have a vehicle with short overhangs, which translates into good handling and great interior space. The shape of the waistline, which rises slightly, is also attractive, recalling other models such as the Toyota Auris.
The rear also shares certain family resemblances, with light clusters similar to those found on the Qashqai, as well as a very wraparound lower bumper with a built-in false diffuser that gives it a sportier look.
The interior is a major step forward compared with the brand’s latest compact models (let us recall, for example, the ill-fated Tiida). It features a dashboard covered in soft, padded plastics, with contrasting trim, which, combined with very generous equipment, makes for a highly appealing package.

Speaking of equipment, the Pulsar aims to position itself at the head of the segment as one of the most technologically advanced models, thanks to systems such as blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assist and city emergency braking. In addition, the arrival of the second generation of the NissanConnect system is planned, with apps imported directly from the smartphone and internet connectivity.

The Pulsar will initially offer two engines: a 1.5 dCi diesel producing 110 CV and a 1.2 DIG-T petrol producing 115 CV. However, the most performance-oriented version is expected to arrive in early 2015, powered by a 1.6 Turbo producing 190 CV, the same engine fitted to the Juke Nismo.
