It is one of the most important alliances in the automotive industry and has just presented its 2022 Plan, which previews the intentions of the three brands that make it up. These are Nissan, Renault and Mitsubishi, which form the first and most important alliance between companies from different countries. In addition to enabling collaboration between these three brands, it has established alliances with other companies such as Daimler and Dongfeng. With this 2022 Plan they announce their plans for the next 6 years, with some very interesting goals.

With this plan they aim to sell around 10 million units using the same four platforms, and to do so they will increase their collaboration. The three brands will jointly use these four different platforms to lower costs and enable greater production at lower cost. In addition, several engines will also join this circuit and can be seen in different models of the three brands.

In this case, that of engines, the alliance’s intention is to reach three quarters of the total powertrains used, instead of the third currently shared. In addition, the Nissan-Renault-§1 Alliance plans to develop autonomous driving systems to advance jointly with these technologies. The idea is to propose 40 vehicles with different levels of autonomous driving, going from level 2 up to, according to them, the maximum level, although that will possibly take considerably longer.Another idea that has emerged in this plan is a strategy to advance in the automated transport of people, a sector in which they want to become one of the most active operators.

The electrically powered vehicles are also part of this 2022 Plan, which records that there will be a list of up to 12 100% electric models that will share technology and platforms to take advantage of the coordinated work of the three companies. This Alliance plan aims to achieve sales of 14 million units each year and a business volume of 240,000 million dollars at the end of this period. Very positive expectations that seek to strengthen the presence of the three brands and their partners in the international market.
