The Nissan X-Trail dresses up as the Millennium Falcon for Star Wars fans

Nissan and its X-Trail have declared themselves fans of the Star Wars saga, as the SUV has been dressed up as the Millennium Falcon to pay tribute to the upcoming film.

The film world has always presented itself as a field in which cars have a major commitment, thus attracting the most devoted cinephiles petrolheads. You’re sure to have the names of all the Fast and Furious installments or Gone in 60 Seconds echoing in your head as you recall how Vin Diesel burned rubber with his Dodge Challenger or Nicolas Cage stole a beautiful 1967 Mustang Eleanor. But today we are not going to talk about a film related to the motoring world, but about spaceships and laser swords; that’s right, we mean Star Wars, a saga that has a special place today because the Nissan X-Trail has wanted to pay tribute to it.

It is true that in the Star Wars universe cars are conspicuous by their absence, since the advanced technology of the era in which the saga is set has given way to spaceships, such as the Millennium Falcon. This intrepid space vehicle has been the trusty companion of Han Solo and Chewbacca, two of the most beloved characters among Star Wars fans.

However, Nissan wanted to provide them both with a much more conventional means of transport and that is why the X-Trail has been dressed up as the Millennium Falcon. This is due to the revival of the epic saga three years ago, when the Star Wars story came back to the big screen and now does so in the motoring world. To do this, the Japanese SUV was used as the basis for a four-wheeled Millennium Falcon, with various elements added both on the exterior and in the cabin, with the aim of paying homage to the Han Solo film that will be released on May 24th.

The Nissan X-Trail -known as the Rogue in the United States- has adopted on its bodywork the same colour tones that the Millennium Falcon displays in Star Wars. Blue and grey tones wrap the silhouette of the Nissan SUV, making it easy to identify with the spaceship. At the same time, the exclusively designed wheel covers also serve the same purpose, as do the thrusters installed at the rear with the mission of emulating those of the space vehicle.

If we open the door and enter the cabin, we will notice that Nissan has installed various controls that perfectly simulate those on the Millennium Falcon. Another curious detail that turns the X-Trail into a true vehicle for sailing the Star Wars galaxy is the windscreen, in which a window has been fitted that perfectly recreates how Han Solo saw outer space from the seat of his spaceship.

This new attraction for Star Wars fans serves to announce the long-awaited release of Solo: A Star Wars Story, as we have already mentioned. Without a doubt, the team at Nissan has managed to create a perfect complement not only for this new instalment, but also for the rest of the saga thus becoming a very exclusive piece for all Star Wars lovers.
