The OMODA 5 and E5 land in Spain with a 7-year warranty and for less than €30,000
OMODA makes a strong entrance on Spanish soil: one electric model, one petrol model, both for less than €30,000, and an ambassador the brand deserves, Jaime Lorente

Yesterday we had the pleasure of attending the Palacio de Cibeles for one of the most anticipated presentations, attended by up to 300 guests. This is the commercial launch of the brand OMODA, a Chinese brand ready to challenge expectations with two models that the car world will receive with enthusiasm, and with Netflix star Jaime Lorente as its brand ambassador.
We had already had the chance to see and try its petrol model, the OMODA 5, the most recent model from the prestigious house Cheery Group. This vehicle, which embodies the essence of innovation and performance, promises to captivate motoring enthusiasts with its unique combination of style, functionality and technology. Also, one point that caught my attention is that, from the very first minute, their press office has been keen for us to send them feedback and tell them everything we think could be improved, a real plus for the brand.

From the interior to the heart of the engine, the OMODA has been designed to deliver an unrivalled driving experience. The cabin blends elegance and practicality, evident in leather inserts on the doors, heated sports seats and a palette of up to 64 colours and intensities, allowing the driver to personalise the ambience to their liking. All OMODA models come with a 7-year official warranty or 150,000 kilometres.
OMODA 5
Under the bonnet, the OMODA 5 unleashes its power with a 1.6 turbo petrol engine with direct injection, capable of producing an impressive 185 hp, with 290 Nm of torque. Paired with a 7-speed automatic gearbox, it can reach 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds.

In terms of technology, the OMODA does not hold back on innovation. Equipped with a dual 20.5-inch screen, it offers an intuitive and functional display space, complemented by a wireless charger for mobile devices. It also has a built-in fan to prevent our device from overheating. The remote control function allows you to start the engine and adjust the air conditioning before getting into the vehicle, providing a high level of comfort.
In terms of safety it does not fall short either: the OMODA stands out with its 5-star Euro NCAP rating, ensuring the protection and peace of mind of its occupants at all times. Available in two trims, Confort and Premium, this vehicle adapts to the needs and preferences of each customer, offering a personalised and stylish experience.

OMODA E5
In its ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability, Cheery Group presents the OMODA E5, an electrified version that redefines standards of efficiency and performance. Keeping the essence of style and functionality, this model offers even more luxury details and advanced technology.
With features not found on the petrol variant, such as a head-up display and a 24.6-inch dual curved screen, the OMODA E5 delivers an immersive and futuristic driving experience. It also incorporates a 50 kW alternator, guaranteeing optimal performance and exceptional efficiency.

Powered by a 61 kWh battery, the OMODA E5 offers an impressive range of 430 km, complemented by an 80 kW charger; this vehicle can be charged from 30 to 80% in just 28 minutes.
Prices and trims
Although the electric version does not yet have a fixed price, the petrol version is available in two versions: the entry-level Confort at €24,000 and the Premium version with additional technology and safety features at €26,000. The OMODA 5 presents itself as an accessible and attractive option for those seeking a high-performance electric vehicle. With a monthly instalment of €149, this model is within everyone’s reach, delivering an exciting and eco-friendly driving experience.

They also announced the addition to the Cheery group of two more models, expected to arrive in summer 2024: the Jaeeco 7 and Jaeeco 8.
