The Peugeot RCZ gets a facelift with minimal styling changes

Peugeot has decided that the time was right for the arrival in our country of the new generation of the RCZ, which features some styling changes, most noticeable at the front than anywhere else on the coupé’s bodywork.
The grille is smaller, less exaggerated and more streamlined, and is clearly divided into two segments, incorporating small LED daytime running lights in place of the fog lights. The bumpers, both rear and front, are also different, although the rear is where the changes are least noticeable.
Where there will be no major changes is in the engine range, since the RCZ retains the same engine range as the previous model: the 2.0-litre HDi FAP diesel with 163 hp and the two petrol THP engines with 156 and 200 hp. The more powerful of the petrol versions is much more efficient than before, as it improves fuel consumption slightly, now reaching 6.7 l/100 km, a very small difference compared with the previous engine.

There will be several option packs for the new RCZ. The most basic will be the Pack Visión, consisting of bi-xenon directional headlights with headlight washers and tyre pressure monitoring. Other packs will be added to this, such as the Pack Semi Cuero, with partially leather-upholstered seats, the Pack Cuero, which includes Nappa leather seats and heated front seats with electric adjustment, the Pack Cuero Integral, which adds leather trim on the doors and dashboard to the previous pack, and the Pack Cuero Alcántara, with seats upholstered in leather and Alcántara with leather door trim. The Pack Hi-fi JBL, with JBL speakers and a 240 W amplifier (510 €), and the Pack Black, with brake calipers, a front bumper air intake grille, mirror casings and aluminium arches painted in matt or gloss black.
This year the arrival of the RCZ-R is also confirmed, something that had been rumoured for several months. This sportier version will feature a 1.6 turbo engine delivering 260 hp.
Prices will be as follows:
- RCZ 1.6 THP 155 from 28,050 €.
- RCZ 1.6 THP 155 Aut. from 29,950 €.
- RCZ 1.6 THP 200 from 31,000 €.
- RCZ 2.0 HDi 160 from 31,000 €.
