The Peugeot Traveller with combustion engine begins sales in Spain
Peugeot kicks off sales in Spain of its Traveller MPV paired with the BlueHDI 180 CV diesel engine

The Stellantis group made a strong commitment to electric powertrains for the MPV and van range of its various brands, a bet that has not paid off given the low sales of electric vehicles in general, and which also affects these segments. This has forced the different brands to backtrack and once again offer combustion engines. A case in point is the popular Citroën Berlingo, which now comes with combustion engines after dismal sales of its electric version.
Peugeot has taken the same path with the Rifter, which can now be bought with both diesel and petrol engines, as well as with the e-Traveller, the fully electric MPV from the lion brand that was unveiled in November last year and launched on the market at the beginning of this 2024. Now, a few months later, those who want it can also buy the Peugeot Traveller with combustion engine, as this powertrain is now also available for the Spanish market.

It will not have a varied range of diesel engines, but something is better than nothing, leaving everything to the BlueHDi 180 CV, which is paired with the eight-speed EAT automatic gearbox that sends all the power to the front axle. This engine stands out for its modest consumption, with a combined figure of 7.2 l/100 km together with combined CO2 emissions of 189 g/km.
It will be sold under the M1 passenger car homologation and can be bought in the Standard length of 4,981 mm or the Long length of 5,331 mm, offering in both cases a capacity of up to 9 seats in a 3-3-3 configuration or 8 seats in a 2-3-3 configuration. Furthermore, unlike the electric versions, which are only available in the Business trim, if you opt for the combustion version you will also have the Business VIP trim available. In the first one, the Business trim, the highlighted standard equipment includes the following:
- Front fog lights
- Tyre pressure sensor
- Automatic light and rain sensor
- Cruise control and speed limiter
- Rear parking sensors
- Double side door with manual opening
- Electric mirrors
- Electric Pack
- Look Pack
- 17-inch alloy wheels
- Tinted rear windows

Meanwhile, the second trim, called Business VIP, adds to the above items such as the following:
- 180º rear view camera
- 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- 10-inch digital instrument cluster
- Parking assistant
- Blind spot monitoring system
- Electric parking brake
- Electrochromic interior mirror
- Keyless entry and start
- 17-inch alloy wheels with diamond-cut design
The new Peugeot Traveller is now available on the Spanish market with a starting price of 39,029 euros.
