The Porsche 918 Spyder can be heard and seen at Pebble Beach

Porsche has truly shone with the 918 Spyder, a dream machine that threatens to overshadow models the brand has launched over the course of this year. The Pebble Beach display is undoubtedly a perfect showcase and a unique opportunity to present the car to those who can afford to buy it.

That is why Porsche took the 918 Spyder prototype to California, USA, so that interested parties could sit in it and even hear the spirited 500 horsepower of its engine. It seems they were not allowed to drive them, but for now we are content to listen to everything it has to tell us, waiting to see it on the road, driven by another 218 electric horsepower and looking forward to the other main attraction at Pebble Beach, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
