The possible kinship between Porsche and Ferrari

Of course I’m not suggesting that the honourable Ferdinand and Enzo are family, but rather the horses both of them carry on the crests of their brands.
As many of you will know, the horse of Ferrari was taken by Enzo from the plane of Francesco Baracca – a First World War aviator from Modena (Italy). So far so good; the curious part comes with the next fact.
It is said that Baracca in turn took the horse from a German pilot he shot down, who carried the coat of arms of the city of Stuttgart on his plane. That horse is the same as Porsche’s, and it symbolises the city’s origins, dating back to 950, when it was little more than a stud farm for breeding horses.
Even so, I don’t think there is anything worth saying about these brands having copied anything from each other. As incredible as it is curious.
