General Motors’ plans for Buick are clear, yet we are surprised that most of the announced products are already on the table, and one of them is the hybrid Buick LaCrosse, which will go on sale from 2012.

According to the details offered by the North American company, the car will be equipped with a 2.4-litre engine, which will feature eAssist hybrid technology, so the engine is expected to increase its efficiency by up to 30%.

And to improve fuel consumption figures, the car will include a new six-speed transmission system incorporating the Start&Stop system.

Therefore, the 180 horsepower is expected to be delivered appropriately, while also maintaining a highway consumption rate of 6.36 l/100 km.

On the other hand, the aerodynamic system receives interesting changes, such as additional panels to optimise airflow under the car, closing louvres for the grille and wheels fitted with special tyres.

Another detail we cannot overlook is that the Buick LaCrosse with eAssist system can be purchased at the same price as a traditional model, meaning interested buyers will not pay extra money, although at first we imagined the opposite.
