The production Honda Fit EV will debut in Los Angeles
The Honda Fit EV will be presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show in its production version for 2013.

The production version of the Honda electric Fit will make its debut at the Los Angeles show, after the first prototype was unveiled at the same show a year earlier. This time, Honda announces that it is staying on the same course it had previously announced with the Fit, and that its market launch is confirmed for 2012.
In terms of powertrain and engineering, Honda says the Fit will change little from the first prototype. It retains the same battery pack and the same electric motor, with charging times and range of 12 hours and 100 kilometres, respectively.
There are indications that Honda will use in the electric Fit the same electronic drive system as in the CR-Z, with three operating modes (Eco, Normal and Sport). In Sport mode it can reach a top speed of 145 km/h, while the range figure given was taken from Eco mode.
For now, that is all that is known in broad outline, but we will have more data and images when the show opens.
