The Qoros 3 Sedan, the first Chinese vehicle to earn five stars from EuroNCAP
The Qoros 3 Sedan has earned five stars in EuroNCAP’s crash tests, becoming the first Chinese vehicle to achieve the top rating. Its strength in side and frontal impact tests has been highlighted, as well as the protection offered to the cabin.

Chery Auto had partnered with Israel Corporation, Israel’s largest industrial group, to introduce in Europe a brand capable of achieving a perfect rating from EuroNCAP and meeting the highest European standards of quality and safety. And it seems they have succeeded, as the Qoros 3 Sedan has received the maximum score, ahead of its launch in Europe at the end of the year.
It thus becomes the first Chinese vehicle to achieve this rating from the European safety body, an unprecedented feat given that the quality of Chinese vehicles had left much to be desired in recent years. EuroNCAP highlighted the car’s good scores in the crash tests, especially in the side impact test, where the protection offered to occupants reached 95% of the points.
Both child protection and the available safety equipment were adequate and reached a level similar to any European vehicle. Pedestrian protection was the car’s weakest point, although it achieved 77% protection.
There is no doubt that these EuroNCAP tests will be the strongest weapon it has when selling this saloon. The Qoros presentation will be followed by a five-door model, a sporty pickup and an electric car, so in the coming months we will begin to receive more news from the Chinese brand, the first to earn five stars.
