The Renault Clio RS introduces a new option: the Black Edition pack
Following the lead of other brands, the Renault Clio RS also joins the black trend with the Black Edition pack for the exterior

If you are looking for a small car that lets you move around the city with ease, yet also handles longer journeys or even offers a healthy dose of sportiness, your car should without doubt be the Renault Clio RS in either of its two versions. Now you can even give it an extra touch of design and sportiness, thanks to the introduction of the optional Black Edition pack.
As I’ve been saying for some time, black is in fashion. No matter which car or model we’re talking about, it probably already has a fully “Black” version or details in this same colour. The latest to join the trend is the sportiest variant of the Renault Clio, the RS 200, and also the even more radical RS 220 Trophy. The Black Edition pack is for the moment only available in certain countries, but we expect it won’t be long before we have it in our part of the world.

With this Black Edition pack, the Renault Clio RS gains only in exterior styling, since no changes are made to the interior. Both versions of the Clio RS will therefore have gloss black door handles, side mouldings, lower front grille, the mouldings and badges on the tailgate and, finally, the rear diffuser. The cost of these modifications will not be excessively high: in the United Kingdom the Black Edition pack for the RS 200 costs £200, while for the RS 220 Trophy it will cost £350.
And since this is about adding an extra touch to the design, there is no improvement in the mechanical part, so we will still find the same 1.6-litre turbo engine delivering 200 CV of power in the basic version, while in the Trophy version it rises to 220 CV. In both versions there will be various accessories that give that sporty character, such as the Cup chassis or the exhaust line signed by Akrapovič.

For now we will have to wait to learn the availability of the Black Edition pack in our country, as well as its final price, so we will stay alert and keep you informed on this.
