The Renault Trafic Turns into K.I.T.T. for Its Launch [Video]

I suppose you know the series Knight Rider, even if only as a reference, or perhaps because of the reboot they recently put out on television. In Spain it was known as El Coche Fantástico, and it starred David Hasselhoff, an actor who was all the rage in the ’80s and later enjoyed further success with Baywatch. All of this is relevant because, besides being one of the most memorable cars in television history, Renault has wanted to pay homage to the series.
This happens in the launch video of the new version of the Renault Trafic, where they dress it up as K.I.T.T., the intelligent, bulletproof car that accompanies Michael Knight on his adventures fighting villains. In the video, a black-painted unit, together with its driver, faces the harsh reality of day-to-day life.
Alongside the commercial van from Renault is Michael Crafstman, who, instead of being a daring adventurer, is an everyday hero who, with the help of his faithful vehicle, works as a delivery driver. Naturally, it’s all embellished with pyrotechnics and stunt work, to give the video a bit of excitement, and it can already be watched on the brand’s YouTube channel.
The new generation of the Renault Trafic reaches the market this month, with some modifications that make it a light commercial vehicle worth considering. Since it went on sale, 1.6 million units have been sold, and this new generation is expected to reaffirm it as one of the most advisable options for small transporters and self-employed workers.
