The Renault Twizy comes with plastic windows

The Renault Twizy offers, as an accessory, a frame with plastic windows to protect its occupants from the arrival of winter.

With winter approaching, Renault >has thought that it would be a good idea to protect the occupants of the Renault Twizy before they turn into lovely ice cubes. For this reason, it presents a plastic accessory that serves as a window, which has started to go on sale in the British market.

This accessory will supposedly protect the occupants of the Twizy adequately against the elements, although it is not particularly elaborate. It features brackets for the vehicle’s doors and a zipper that completely closes “the window” over the vehicle’s bodywork frame.

But then comes problem number 1: how to open the doors from the outside when the protections are closed, since the Twizy has no exterior handles. The solution is simple, as there is room to slip your hand in and open it from the inside, and the plastic has openings so that “the windows” do not fog up.

It is not a solution that will have anyone racking their brains, but a certain harmony had to be maintained between the Twizy and the new accessory. In a way, it reminds me of the plastic roof of the Citroën Mehari of yesteryear.

Prices for Great Britain will be £295, while the same accessory in France will sell for €350. The price in Spain has not yet been revealed.
