At the beginning of September last year, we announced that Lamborghini was working on a new model, the Lamborghini Reventón. Months later, we were talking about the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster, but time went by and nothing suggested that this model would ever see the light of day. There were only reports of problems, of the lack of investors willing to risk their money on building nine units of this unusual model.

It seems these funding problems have been resolved somehow, and the Italian firm would have brought the model forward. So much so that it is rumoured that the model was presented yesterday at an unofficial event attended only by potential buyers.

The engine of the sports car will be the LP650-4, since they ran into problems during the installation of the LP 670-4SW, so the performance of the new model will be lower than expected. It is also rumoured that the initial idea of producing nine units has been ruled out, and as many models will be built as are demanded, but never more than twenty units. With a price of 1.1 million euros, it is quite unlikely that that many units will sell.
