The Rolls Royce Ghost Golf Edition, uncovered

We have mentioned on more than one occasion that what you can see in Dubai is an extensive showcase of the most spectacular cars in the world. It is one of the places with the highest concentration of luxury supercars to be found anywhere on the planet, which is why the big brands usually build exclusive models for that market. And when we talk about ultra-luxury supercars, of which there are plenty, our minds go straight to Rolls Royce.

At the 2015 Dubai Motor Show some of those ultra-exclusive models could be seen, and today we bring you a brief look at one of them. It is the Rolls Royce Ghost Golf Edition, a car designed to dazzle the enthusiasts of that city, people with plenty of means and refined enough taste to own one of these luxurious cars.

This Rolls is a unique car because, as the plate on the door frame says, it is the “One of One” unit. In other words, there is no need to look any further, because there are no others. It is entirely inspired by an afternoon of golf, with a body colour that seeks to evoke the grass of Dubai’s golf courses. It is therefore not fully green, but slightly muted, with a tone that recalls the dunes surrounding the city.

Like every Rolls Royce, it was hand-built, and it took two years to finish assembling it at Goodwood. The interior breathes the air of luxury and exclusivity that cannot be absent from any of its models. The combination of Pine Green, Crème Light and Hotspur with red accents conveys much of that golfing spirit. In addition, the rear features a picnic table and mats with the traditional design for travelling to the countryside.

Everything about this car conveys luxury and exclusivity; it is a variant of one of the most luxurious cars in the world. Although in my opinion it projects an overly classic image, it is an imposing car and it must be a pleasure to ride in. Driving it, not so much, because we all know this car is driven by the chauffeur. The owner only enjoys it from the back…
