The Roush-Shelby SR-71 Mustang sold for $375,000

Not to belittle the Mustang, but the differences in how people perceive cars are very different in Europe and the USA. And if not, how could you justify paying $375,000 for a Mustang? The car was prepared by Roush and Shelby, which we already reported, but it is still a Mustang.
The price was paid at the auction that had been announced to help various children’s and youth foundations that are responsible for spreading the fundamentals of aviation. One could even understand it if it were something more charitable.
Of course, whoever paid that money for the SR-71 takes home a collector’s piece that will go unnoticed for now, but that in the future may be worth much more. This should be seen from the point of view of a long-term investment.
Its buyer must turn out to be as eccentric as this Mustang customised as a fighter jet. It remains to be the representative of the only collaboration between Roush and Shelby in the field of muscle cars.
