The Skoda Karoq Sportline will debut a new 190 CV petrol engine

The Skoda Karoq Sportline will be presented at the upcoming Paris Motor Show and will arrive with a new 2.0 TSI 190 CV petrol engine.

The Skoda Karoq Sportline will be officially presented at the Paris Motor Show, held between October 4 and 14 of this year, and it will do so alongside the Scout version. This sporty trim introduces several design and mechanical changes, including the most powerful petrol engine in the entire range (190 CV).

Engines: for the first time with the 2.0 TSI 190 CV engine

The Skoda Karoq Sportline offers the broadest engine line-up of the compact SUV to date. The car comes with four engine options:

  • 2.0 TSI 190 CV petrol engine: the top of the range, and only available in this sporty variant.

  • 1.5 TSI 150 CV petrol engine: comes as standard with front-wheel drive and a manual gearbox. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox combined with all-wheel drive is available as an option.

  • 2.0 TDI 190 CV diesel engine: comes as standard with the 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive.

  • 2.0 TDI 150 CV diesel engine: comes as standard with a 6-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive. Also available as an option with all-wheel drive and the DSG automatic gearbox.

Exterior design: more sportiness for the compact SUV

The Skoda Karoq Sportline stands apart from the standard versions with a more dynamic and sporty design. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned, as have the front fenders, which carry the Sportline logo. The car features tinted glass on the rear windows and the rear windscreen. The roof rails are finished in black, which contrasts beautifully with the red bodywork. The exclusive 18-inch “Mytikas” alloy wheels finished in black, or alternatively the optional 19-inch wheels in polished black “Vega” finish, complete the list of distinctive exterior elements.

Exclusive interior: revolutionary seats

Inside the car you will find black sports seats with silver contrast stitching. These seats are upholstered in the revolutionary Thermoflux fabric, which offers greater comfort and breathability to occupants thanks to its triple layer, especially useful in summer to prevent premature wear of the seat itself. The multifunction sports steering wheel is covered in perforated black leather with silver topstitching. The cabin also features a black finish for the roof and pillars, an LED ambient lighting package and stainless steel pedals.

Digital Cockpit: available as an option

The Skoda Karoq Sportline can optionally be fitted with a digital instrument panel (Virtual Cockpit), a system very similar in functionality and design to the Digital Cockpit that Seat now offers on the Ibiza and Arona.
