The Skoda Kodiaq RS by ABT raises the bar for the Czech SUV and boosts its power

The Skoda Kodiaq RS is the brand’s mid-size SUV and it has been dressed in a more powerful look to draw the eyes to the imposing presence that defines this customisation of the model offered by ABT. To begin with, we can look at the wheels, as the level of customisation offers 18-inch to 21-inch wheels.

This change may perhaps be necessary to more effectively control the increase in power provided by the modification carried out by ABT. The 2.0-litre engine fitted to the Skoda Kodiaq RS has raised its power to 270 CV and achieves a maximum torque of 540 Nm. This represents 30 CV more power and 40 Nm more torque than the basic model.

These figures allow the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration to be set at 6.8 seconds, while the top speed remains at 220 km/h, a figure that is limited so that it cannot be exceeded. These modifications have been achieved thanks to the changes made to the engine software carried out by ABT.

Another of the changes made to the basic version of the Skoda Karioq RS is the spring suspension designed by ABT to improve the car’s handling. The tuning company, incidentally, can limit the changes to the increase in power and torque, so there is no need to carry out the remaining changes and leave the Kodiaq with the standard wheels and the standard suspension.

We do not yet know how much this kit will cost, but we do know that if we opt only for the engine modification, the upgrade may be considerably cheaper than if the rest of the elements are added.
