The Skoda Kodiaq RS, more prepared than ever in this exciting new teaser

The presentation of the Skoda Kodiaq RS is just around the corner, ahead of the Paris Motor Show, but the Czech brand wanted to give us a preview with this teaser.

The concept of sportiness can be found applied in virtually every current segment, and SUVs are in the spotlight for this virtue that we motoring enthusiasts love so much. Skoda, a brand with a rich past full of sports cars, has decided to let its generation of SUVs reach this level, with the Kodiaq being the first to dare to carry the RS badge. For months we have let the Czech brand tease us with this new variant of the Kodiaq, but now we find what may be the last teaser before its imminent presentation in Paris.

We have seen how Skoda has managed to set a new record at the Nürburgring in the new Kodiaq RS, something that has allowed it to send all its rivals a warning message. But now the Czech brand has wanted to declare that its sporty SUV is not only power and fun, but also comfort and technology, two areas that are applied in all versions of the Kodiaq, and this one was not going to be an exception.

To this end, the Czech brand has continued to show much of the silhouette of the new Kodiaq RS, but on this occasion it has also let us glimpse its interior. In the sporty SUV’s cabin from Skoda we can find numerous references showing that this is not an ordinary Kodiaq, but one of the components that has most captured our attention is the digital instrument cluster.

This famous and now traditional instrumentation has been featured in the interiors of the latest Group Volkswagen models for some time, and the innovative and radical Kodiaq RS was not going to be an exception. In the video we can see how a single central dial comes into view to draw our attention. This instrumentation mode, which shows how the engine of the sportiest Kodiaq can reach 5,000 rpm, is probably not the only one available.

Depending on the driving mode, the instrumentation will change along with the behaviour of the Czech SUV. This philosophy is in line with the type of mechanics hidden within the Kodiaq RS, which is powered by a 2.0-litre TDI twin-turbo engine capable of producing 240 CV of power. Furthermore, this engine is also accompanied by an artificial sound in the cabin, which wraps the driver and heightens the sensations on board the Kodiaq RS.

Although barely a month remains before we get to see the Skoda Kodiaq RS for the first time, the Czech brand has known how to keep the intrigue intact. It won’t be until early October that we meet the first sporty SUV from Skoda, which will be unveiled in grand style at the Paris Motor Show on 4 October.
