The Skoda Superb is strengthened with the arrival of the Sportline trim

The new Skoda Superb , now in its fourth generation, has been on the market for a few months now. Initially, it was launched in two trim levels, the Selection and Laurin & Klemen. But another trim is soon to join these two, the Sportline. It will include a variant with a more sporty and dynamic look, for buyers looking for a more active Superb that offers a more dynamic experience.

The Sportline trim will be available on the saloon version and the Combi variant. The exterior will be tougher and have a more powerful image. The bumpers have been modified to give it that more attractive look. Other details that contribute to that more active image include the lower part of the grille in black, a colour that is repeated on the exterior mirrors.

The LED matrix headlights add an extra element to the front, together with the darkened dynamic indicators. The brand name appears on the tailgate in black, and other decorative elements set this trim apart from the rest of the model’s offering. The standard wheels are 18 inches, although they can be replaced with 19-inch ones.

Specific details of the Skoda Superb Sportline

To deliver more sporty handling, the ground clearance has been reduced by 15 millimetres. On top of this, adaptive suspension is available as an option. The progressive steering makes driving even more engaging and functional.

Two interior configurations are available. Both, however, use sports seats with integrated headrests and an adjustable bench. In the Suedia Sport Design Selection variant, the seats are electrically adjustable and feature 10 air cushions that provide a fairly satisfying lumbar massage.

In the Suite Sport Design Selection trim, the seats are AGR-certified, ventilated and upholstered in artificial leather.

The 10-inch Virtual Cockpit screen displays the instrumentation, while the screen controlling the infotainment system is 13 inches. Other elements that confirm its place in this trim are the tinted rear windows and the Kessy keyless entry and start system.

This trim is expected to be available with all the engines the range already offers. These include petrol engines with outputs from 150 up to 265 CV; diesel engines with outputs between 150 and 193 CV; and the plug-in hybrid powertrain with an output of 204 CV. However, the price of this new variant of the model is not yet known.
