The Smart #3 pays a visit to Brabus and comes out wearing a new outfit

The specialists at Brabus enjoy making the most interesting vehicles on the market even more so. That is why it doesn’t surprise us that they have set their sights on the Smart #3. An electric model that has left behind its “small car” spirit and has become an urban SUV with a lot to offer. And now, with the Brabus touch, it has gone considerably further and dressed itself in a much more elegant outfit.

Brabus has worked to offer owners of a Smart #3 a body kit. And note that this isn’t about giving the model the “Brabus look,” but rather they work on its own version and have strengthened it. The new elements they have designed offer better aerodynamic behavior and make it much more pleasant to drive.

At the front, Brabus has designed a new splitter that complements the new air intakes located in the bumper. All these elements are made of polyurethane and are adorned with the tuner’s logo. The wheels are also signed by Brabus and go from measuring 20 inches to reaching 21 inches. In this variant they are fitted with 255/35 R21 tyres. Furthermore, the owner can choose the tyre brand, with a choice between Hankook, Continental or Yokohama.

That said, this change is optional and you can keep the previous wheels without any problems. Another element that has been worked on is the suspension. With this kit you can reduce the ground clearance by 35 millimetres. To do this, sport springs are used, with which the centre of gravity is lowered and better handling is achieved while driving.

Where Brabus has not interfered is with the electric motors used by the Smart #3. The electric drivetrain consists of two electric motors that provide all-wheel drive. Combined they are capable of delivering a total output of 315 kW, equivalent to 428 CV, and a maximum torque of 543 Nm.

This car weighs 1,910 kg, but despite that, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. Its top speed is 180 km/h, so this is a car that will make people talk, and with this new look, even more so.
