The SsangYong Musso strengthens the security fleet of the Air and Space Force
The Air and Space Force security unit has added 43 units of the Musso Sport to strengthen and modernise the security fleet at its facilities.

The Air and Space Force has just added a total of 43 units of the SsangYong Musso Sport, the new pick-up from the South Korean brand, to its fleet. These new vehicles have been delivered to carry out air police duties, so they will be dedicated to surveillance, control and security tasks at military facilities.
With the acquisition of these vehicles, the Logistics Support Command (MALOG) has started a fleet renewal process for surveillance and security duties. They opted for this model for its capabilities and features, which make it a very efficient choice for the tasks it will be assigned.

The number of vehicles acquired by MALOG allows the fleet to be unified, with a large number of vehicles sharing the same characteristics at the locations where they will be deployed. To fit them with the distinctive elements of the Air and Space Force security service, the company Veblinter was commissioned to handle the bodywork and equipment for all those distinguishing features.

The Air and Space Force has set the conditions these vehicles must meet and the characteristics they must have for these duties, and has decided that the SsangYong Musso Sport meets them perfectly, placing it ahead of other options that were also submitted to cover these services.
The SsangYong Musso Sport is not only a practical pick-up with enough space to carry everything needed for the service it will be dedicated to, but it also has off-road capabilities to overcome any challenge it may face. It features a transfer case with a 2.48:1 reduction ratio and a rear limited-slip differential.
It is powered by a diesel engine that delivers 202 CV of power and a maximum torque of 400 Nm in the manual gearbox configuration, and 441 Nm with the automatic gearbox. The rear cargo bed has a capacity of 1,262 litres.
