The Suzuki Jimny gets dressed up as a Renault 5 and a Lancia Delta Integrale with these special versions

These two special models, created by the tuner DAMD, pay tribute to some of the best-known and most popular European cars, with body kits.

The Toyota Jimny is that small off-roader that can stand up to its bigger cousins and put them on the back foot, despite its small size. And it’s not only its characteristics and off-road capabilities, which also count, but also the customisation it allows. And if it’s also the base vehicle used by a Japanese tuner who wants to pay tribute to European cars, then it’s even more interesting.

The company in question is DAMD, which has focused on this model to bring it closer to the image of the most interesting European models in automotive history. The tuner has worked on the Suzuki Jimny to create a tribute to vehicles like the Renault 5 Turbo, a car that was very popular for many years.

One of the first things we can see is the front end, which has been changed to remind us of the legendary French car. The square headlights and the diamond-shaped logo help us see the Renault 5 Turbo where the Suzuki Jimny used to be. The wheels have been replaced by white rally-style ones signed by OZ Racing.

At the rear, a spoiler has been fitted, in the style of the car being paid tribute to, and on the sides there are vinyl decals with the inscription “No TURBO“, to make it clear that there are no changes to the Jimny’s engine. This means the Jimny still uses its 1.2-litre petrol engine, which produces 102 CV.

Another of the transformations carried out is to turn the Jimny into a Lancia Delta Integrale. This conversion will be presented alongside the previous one at the Tokyo Motor Show. This variant follows the path set by the previous one, and the front end has been modified.

In this case, twin headlights and a grille reminiscent of the Lancia Delta have been added. It has also been fitted with a rear spoiler, which has a lot to do with the model it is based on. If you liked these two special models, we have good news for you.

Not only will you find these, but there are also Jimny conversions that render tribute to the classic Land Rover Defender, the Mercedes G-Class or the Ford Bronco. All of them come from DAMD’s workshops, at a price of around 4,500 euros for each of the kits, already installed on the Jimny.
