The three-cylinder engine of BMW, revealed

As part of a video presentation of the new EfficientDynamics engine family, the three-cylinder engine of BMW has been revealed by the brand, although they still have their reservations about whether this engine will ever reach production.
The few details we can give you refer to what was seen in that video. The engine appears mounted on an unspecified chassis, which could be a Mini or a future city model from the brand, one more option for the two-cylinder engines that the development team has also considered.
And if we speak in purely mathematical terms, this engine could be described as the new modular six-cylinder, but cut in half: with 500 cc chambers each, the displacement will be 1.5 litres, all of it enhanced by Valvetronic variable timing, high-flow electronic injection and a turbo.
Of course, all of this is only a project for the moment, and a very well-made video that we present to you below.
