The Toyota Proace City is renewed for 2022 with a new trim level

The Toyota Proace City is the first Toyota vehicle manufactured in Spain, at the Stellantis plant in Vigo. It has now undergone a complete renewal to offer its buyers higher equipment and performance than ever before. To meet 2022, the Proace City range has changed and has become a new proposition for professionals.

Among the changes the model has received, several more efficient driver assistance systems stand out, along with an improved new six-speed gearbox and a new trim level that offers more comfort and safety for the driver. The range consists of the Proace City Van, designed for work and with a loading space well suited to the professional’s daily needs; the Proace City Combi, with several seat configurations to combine work and everyday life; and the Proace City Verso Family, conceived as a family MPV with a large loading space.

The Proace City Van has received several changes, the most notable being the discontinuation of the 1.5D 75 CV diesel engine. The entry level of the range is now the 1.5D 100 CV engine, which meets the Euro 6.3 standard and is fitted to the Proace City Van GX version. This trim level has also improved the gearbox, with a new 6-speed transmission that allows the engine to run at lower revs at cruising speed.

The new trim level is the GX PLUS, positioned between the two existing ones, GX and VX. This trim is available with the 1.5D 100 CV and 130 CV engines and in both van lengths, medium (L1) and long (L2). The new trim adds elements such as front and rear parking sensors, fog lights, an 8″ Toyota Touch® 2 multimedia screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, an interior rear-view mirror, rain sensor and integrated steering wheel controls.

In addition, this trim and the Active trim on the Proace City Verso Family include side airbags for driver and passenger. Overall, the exterior appearance remains essentially the same, although the front mirror housings have been painted black pinao.

The Toyota Proace City range starts at 13,866 € for the Proace City Van and 14,092 € for the Proace City Combi, excluding VAT and for professional customers. The Proace City Verso Family is sold from 22,227 € for private buyers.
