The latest edition of the Women’s World Car of the Year announces the 7 cars preferred by women

A total of 39 women, members of the jury of the Car of the Year in its entirely female version, have published the results on which cars were chosen in each of the 7 categories established by this award.

SUV/Crossover of the Year: Range Rover Evoque

The new Range Rover Evoque was presented during 2019 with the aim of maintaining the stylish look that the first generation offered and, in addition, bringing this crossover into the era of electrification for those who wanted to join the SUV trend.

Sports car of the Year: Porsche 911

For some, it is merely the eighth generation of the myth; for others, the eighth wonder of the world; and for the women of the WWCOTY, the best sports car of 2019 is the brand-new Porsche 911. A car that, in its Porsche 911 Carrera 4S version, we had the opportunity to drive and, above all, enjoy, and we agree with the judges that we are facing the sports car of the year.

Luxury Car of the Year: BMW Serie 8

The new flagship of luxury and sportiness from BMW, the new BMW Serie 8, also rises to the top of the cars preferred by the women of the COTY in its female version. In its balance between sophistication and quality of build, this brand-new vehicle has been chosen as the best of 2019 within its category.

Eco Car of the Year: Kia e-Soul

The update of the Kia e-Soul, the electric car from Kia, earned it the award as the women’s favorite car. Its range, with two options of 276 or 452 kilometres, and its relationship between the quality of its finishes and its price place it among the eco cars of the year.

Family Car of the Year: Mazda3

The new Mazda3, the Japanese compact that resists trends by confronting them with style and technology, has won the family car category of 2019 for the women of the press.

City Car of the Year: Kia XCeed

And we also really liked the Kia XCeed during the road test we carried out on two of its versions. During the presentation on the streets of Marseille we saw how, amid the city’s traffic frenzy, the new member of the Kia Ceed family managed to move with great ease and agility, not only on the asphalt but also dealing with everyday routines and chores.

Car of the Year 2019: Mazda3

And, once again, but this time as the overall winner, the new Mazda3 has been the one that scored highest in the overall count. The most complete car was the proposal in the Mazda C segment and, without a doubt, the bet on the new Skyactiv-X engines had a lot to do with it.
