These are the 7 Citroën models manufactured in Spain
The plants in Madrid, Zaragoza and Vigo produce up to seven Citroën models. Do you want to know which ones they are?

Are you looking for a car that is made in Spain? You’re in luck, because we are going to get to know the seven Citroën models manufactured in Spain. The brand of the chevrons has managed to produce more than 12.7 million automobiles at its plants in Madrid, Vigo and Zaragoza. As the manufacturer itself points out, the Spanish saga began with the legendary Citroën 2CV and reaches up to the new Citroën ë-C4.
Today, Citroën is the only manufacturer that produces its models at three Spanish plants, so we are going to get to know the seven Citroën models built in Spain. We are talking about the Citroën C3 Aircross, the Citroën C4 and its electric variant, the Citroën ë-C4, and the Citroën Berlingo. The brand of the chevrons has been present in Spain since the 1920s and began manufacturing its models there in 1958.
Citroën C3 Aircross

This SUV is produced at the brand’s plant in Zaragoza, where it has been built exclusively for more than five years. One of its strong points is personalisation, as more than 70 combinations can be created. It also comes with twelve driving assistance systems, and more than 447,457 units have been produced, 88% of which have been destined for export to 54 countries. It offers a 52-litre boot. 60% of its sales correspond to the top trim levels, 30% of customers choose the Colour Pack and 35% opt for the two-tone look.
New Citroën C4

The new Citroën C4 is produced at the brand’s plant in Madrid. With a production rate of 75,900 units per year, 82.9% of them destined for export, this model has established itself as one of the benchmarks in its segment on the Spanish market. Special mention goes to the electric version, the Citroën ë-C4, which accounts for one in every four units assembled and has become the best-selling “zero-emission” model in Spain during the month of May.
The new Citroën C4 offers a fresh take on saloons, with stylistic and technical nods to classic Citroën models such as the Citroën GS. “The result is a vehicle that combines the elegance and dynamism that characterise saloons with the versatility and adventurous spirit embodied by SUVs. The new generation of the New C4 becomes a first-rate ambassador of the exclusive ‘Citroën Advanced Comfort’ programme, bringing together innovations such as Advanced Comfort seats and progressive hydraulic damper suspension with the silence and smoothness of electric mobility in the New Citroën ë-C4. On the technology front, this new model features 20 driver assistance functions, including Highway Driver Assist (level 2 autonomous driving) and a head-up display, a benchmark for visual comfort”.
Citroën Berligo

The Citroën Berlingo, meanwhile, is produced at the Vigo plant and reached the market in 1996. As the brand of the chevrons states, “it is designed with all the comfort and performance of a car, with special attention to modularity and interior space. These features can be enjoyed both in versions geared towards leisure or family use, including a camper version, and the Berlingo Van”.
Since its launch, 3,068,810 units have been produced, of which 323,324 correspond to the current generation and 3,335 to the electric version called Citroën ë-Berlingo.
