These are the ten best-selling SUVs in October 2019
During October 2019, more SUVs and crossovers were sold than any other type of passenger car, which once again shows that this is the most popular range

The tenth month of 2019 has already passed, so it is time to see which cars have been the best sellers this month. We know that the models people like most are SUVs and crossovers, which continue to be the ones with the best results at the end of the year. And the truth is that, although overall sales are falling this year, this month has seen, in general terms, an increase compared with the same month of 2018.
In total, 93,961 passenger car registrations were recorded in October 2019, compared with 88,411 in October 2018. Of these, 47,703 were units from the crossover, SUV and off-road segment. A figure that exceeds 50% of passenger car registrations and which once again shows that these vehicles are in fashion and remain buyers’ favourites.

These are the ten best-selling SUVs during October 2019:
| MODEL | OCTOBER REGISTRATIONS | 2019 REGISTRATIONS |
|---|---|---|
| Nissan Qashqai | 2,219 units | 25,703 units |
| Peugeot 2008 | 1,966 units | 17,253 units |
| Peugeot 3008 | 1,922 units | 19,775 units |
| SEAT Arona | 1,725 units | 21,450 units |
| Hyundai Tucson | 1,661 units | 14,220 units |
| SEAT Ateca | 1,529 units | 14,904 units |
| Volkswagen T-Roc | 1,360 units | 12,838 units |
| Kia Sportage | 1,299 units | 12,376 units |
| Volkswagen Tiguan | 1,152 units | 13,446 units |
| Renault Captur | 1,124 units | 16,459 units |

The highest number of SUVs sold this month goes to the Nissan Qashqai, as it did in September. The figures also show that the Peugeot 2008, the smaller crossover from the French brand, ranks second, closely followed by the Peugeot 3008, the larger sibling of that model.
Just below these two models is the SEAT Arona, which registered 1,725 units and which, on an annual basis, ranks second behind the Qashqai. Continuing down the list of the 10 best-selling SUVs, we find that these popular models belong to the compact and small range, which are more manageable and affordable for most buyers.
As for fuel, petrol remains the most popular choice, following the decline of diesel passenger cars. Overall, registrations of petrol-engined passenger cars reached 56.1%, while diesel-engined ones accounted for 29.5%. The remaining fuel types grew to 14.3%, in an upward trend that seems to confirm a certain awareness of less polluting models.
