They say The Stig from Top Gear has been arrested

The Stig was sensationally arrested by a friendly policeman over a certain kind of incident
This is the sentence accompanying the news of The Stig’s “arrest”, apparently somewhere in Ireland. It is not known whether the arrest was for speeding in a Top Gear car or over an incident unrelated to the show. The supposed “arrest”, since it is all a well-orchestrated stunt to keep attention on the programme, is not a recent matter, as this kind of trick has a history of its own.
The truth is that the lads at Top Gear know how to generate buzz very well. And if not, it is worth recalling when the Stig himself was going to reveal his identity, a pantomime that had the collaboration of none other than Michael Schumacher, who made an honorary appearance in one of the episodes. There were the constant rumours of the show being suspended by the BBC, and the very accident of Richard Hammond in 2007 (which I don’t doubt, but looks somewhat suspicious from a distance). Jeremy Clarkson is undoubtedly a brilliant strategist of television ratings, but this kind of news has to be taken with a certain caution and a certain humour.
What will the next move be?
