Challenger Dodge Muscle cars Videos
This Dodge Challenger Hellcat has been restored after a fire!
Restorations are never simple, but this young man has managed to bring a Dodge Challenger Hellcat back to life after it fell victim to a fire.

You’ve surely all thought at some point about restoring a car, whether just for the satisfaction of fixing something yourself or to cut costs. As a general rule, vehicles that are chosen to be revived are usually in a salvageable condition, but today we’ve come across a rather curious case. An young American YouTuber wanted to give a second chance to a Dodge Challenger Hellcat that, in its previous life, suffered amid the flames that reduced a barn to nothing.
Once a vehicle has been exposed to a fire, it is very difficult to recover it because of the abrasion its parts endure. Bodywork, sheet metal, paintwork and vital mechanical components turn to ash in a matter of seconds, and the condition of this Challenger bore witness to that. Not surprisingly, this did not stop our young and skilful protagonist from giving the muscle car a second chance.
The thorough cleaning process allowed the YouTuber to appreciate in greater detail all the damage the fire had caused. With this in hand, damage assessment becomes much simpler and, once the go-ahead is given, the chassis is returned to its original position. Despite the effort and dedication the young man shows, he ultimately has no choice but to cut the Challenger in half and turn to a donor that had also seen better days.

After a long and intense day of bodywork and paintwork, the time comes to bring the mechanical side back to life. In the video we can see how the original engine was saved despite having been exposed to the flames. However, this did not prevent it from being completely rebuilt to ensure perfect behaviour.
And the occasion is no small one, since the Challenger Hellcat comes as standard with a powerful 6.2-litre supercharged V8. This imposing heart is capable of delivering 717 CV and 881 Nm of torque, figures that catapult it to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and allow it to reach a top speed of 314 km/h.

Nine months of restoration condensed into fourteen minutes of video, in which we can appreciate the laborious task of bringing this genuine muscle car back to life. Without a doubt, it has not been an easy job, but the satisfaction of driving a car that has been repaired with our own hands is priceless.
