This is how the new Giulietta could look if Alfa Romeo decided to launch it

Designer X-Tomi shows us the hypothetical appearance of a next-generation Alfa Romeo Giulietta, with a front end similar to the Giulia’s but on a smaller scale

The arrival of the new Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio has overshadowed the evolution of older models such as the Giulietta. The Italian compact has been on the market for 8 years, and although its attractive design has not become outdated, it is starting to cry out for an update. Images like this remind us how interesting the launch of a new Giulietta generation would be.

The model we can see here does not exist. It is a graphic representation, invented by designer X-Tomi Design, which forecasts the appearance of a hypothetical next-generation Giulietta. As we can see, the front-end styling has been taken almost entirely from the Giulia, although the vehicle’s proportions are somewhat smaller.

The design of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta was presented in 2009 and there is no intention to renew it, for nowUnfortunately, it does not seem that the Italian manufacturer is going to produce a new Giulietta in the near future. Alfa Romeo’s plans involve reducing the production of compact vehicles in the future, and good proof of this is that the head of FCA (the automotive group to which the Italian brand belongs), Sergio Marchionne, has already ordered the end of production of American models such as the Dodge Dart or the Chrysler 200; not to mention older compacts such as the Fiat Bravo (2015) or the Lancia Delta (2013).

Bearing this in mind, it would not be surprising if both the Giulietta and its smaller sibling, the MiTo, end up disappearing, and given their age (8 and 9 years, respectively), it should not be long before this happens.

We will see whether Alfa Romeo regains its interest in this segment in the future. It is worth remembering that the Alfa Romeo Giulietta was presented in 2009 and its design was handled by Lorenzo Ramaciotti, one of the most experienced car designers in Italy.
