This is how the world's biggest Ford Mustang is built, for an Arab sheikh, of course

Arab sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan al Nahyan commissioned the design of a giant 4×4 that blends the body of a Ford Mustang with the chassis of a Dodge RAM pick-up

The Middle East is often at the forefront of vehicle customisation thanks to its creations of oversized cars with extreme features, but this Ford Mustang has been pushed to the limit. Created by the car designer Hussain Albagali, this one-off model was built for Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan al Nahyan in just seven months.

The sheikh asked the designer to create a Ford Mustang 4×4 based on a Dodge RAM pick-up. After meeting with him to discuss the project, Albagali sketched several concepts that were met with favourable reviews.

The project was carried out using the body of a Ford Mustang on the chassis of the 2015 RAM pick-up, a model that features a 6.4-litre V8 engine producing 485 CV of power and 643 Nm of torque.

To create a vehicle of these dimensions, they had to carry out a large number of modifications, including new front wings and the addition of several body extensions.

The final result of this experiment was an impressive vehicle that resembles a 1920s classic convertible with a spare wheel mounted on the passenger-side door.

This astonishing vehicle joins the large car collection owned by the Arab sheikh. Hamad bin Hamdan al Nahyan has a fleet of more than 200 vehicles with exclusive designs, which he has kept since 2002 in his own museum on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi.
