ABT Sportsline has presented an improved version of the S5 Avant, which has enhanced its exterior looks but also the power of its engine.

The Audi S5 Avant is a family estate that has a very appealing sporty spirit, which makes it a car that many would want in their garage. But ABT Tuning has wanted to go much further in the design and has given it a bolder, more aggressive and dynamic touch. The result is quite attractive and it has been created to satisfy drivers who want a family car with the bite that other similar models lack.

That said, no radical changes should be expected in the model’s exterior look. ABT Sportsline knows how to give a spicy touch to the cars it works on without being overly extravagant. Some changes come from decorative elements that have been added to the bodywork to give the model the necessary update.

New decorative elements to improve aerodynamics

Among these elements added to the bodywork we find a front splitter, new covers for the air intakes and the rear spoiler, which has a more aggressive design. At the rear, the new exhaust fitted to the car stands out, made of stainless steel. It features four outlets with a diameter of 102 millimetres, which are very attractive both aesthetically and functionally.

The ABT Performance wheels now measure 20 inches, finished in gloss black. They are shod with 245/35 R20 tyres, which makes their look much more interesting to potential buyers. To enhance that look and its functionality, there is the ABT sport suspension kit. With it, the ride height is lowered by 25 millimetres.

Inside, there are also changes, and as with the exterior, they are minor changes that enhance its look without being very striking.

Engine

Under the bonnet we find the 3.0-litre V6 TFSI engine that delivers 367 CV. But as it could not be otherwise, this unit has received the ABT Power upgrade, which raises output to 440 CV and torque to 600 Nm. The S5 Avant’s responsiveness has increased and driving is considerably more engaging than in the standard version.

The kit fitted to the car costs 14,900 euros, but the donor car, fitting and homologation must be added to this. Even so, it is a conversion that will interest many drivers quite a lot.
