This is the Aznom Serpas: an Italian supercar in the old-school style

The Aznom Serpas is the result of the work of Aznom and Camal. Weighing just 900 kg and producing 363 CV, the Serpas is one of the most radical vehicles around.

When we think of the world of supercars, we always tend to associate it with Italy, the birthplace of this type of vehicle. Undoubtedly, this thinking is quite logical, as some of the most radical cars come from this country. On this occasion, we are not going to talk about Ferrari, Lamborghini, or Maserati, but about a somewhat lesser-known brand. Aznom is the protagonist of this story, and you will probably recognise it from other projects.

On this occasion, the Italian company has collaborated with the Camal design centre, based in Turin. Thanks to this very special partnership, the Aznom Serpas has been born, a supercar that comes to break all the rules and put high-flying sports cars under serious pressure. Alessandro Camorali has been responsible for bringing this engineering masterpiece to life, and today we tell you all the details.

The first thing that catches the eye of the Serpas is, without a doubt, its radical design. It features extensive aerodynamic work and very attractive, sharp curves. Its low height is also striking, as it measures just 0.78 metres. But, like any good supercar, it is very wide, measuring 1.76 metres. This, together with its low weight, makes it a deadly vehicle on the track even though it is not the most powerful.

900 kilograms is what the Aznom Serpas registers on the scales. This figure is achieved thanks to the tubular chassis reinforced with carbon fibre and a bodywork made entirely of aluminium. But, as is normal in this type of vehicle, carbon fibre is present in many elements of the Serpas. But this is not the only thing that makes this extreme vehicle special.

The engine takes centre stage in the Aznom Serpas. This is because inside it lies a 2.6-litre naturally aspirated V8 that produces 363 CV of power. This, together with its low weight and its excellent aerodynamics thanks to the absence of doors and roof, creates a very promising package. At the same time, the Italian firm has stated that it plans to produce an electric version in the not too distant future.

But the exclusivity does not end here. Each customer will have the opportunity to design the interior entirely to their own taste which, although it is a vehicle focused on the track, features first-class materials in its cabin. Furthermore, the future owners of the Aznom Serpas will be able to get behind the wheel and drive on the Monza circuit.
