This is the new Seat Ibiza according to the leaked images

Several publications preview the appearance of the new Seat Ibiza, which will be presented today in Barcelona.

More and more leaks are circulating online about the new Seat Ibiza and its final appearance. The fifth generation of the famous Spanish compact will be unveiled in Barcelona within hours, so we will have to wait until then to see whether these leaks are true or false.

Based on the images published in various media outlets, the new Seat Ibiza will be a model with more presence than the current version. The new generation of the Ibiza keeps its dynamic line but with a more elegant touch. According to the published information, it will measure 4.06 metres in length and will be 9 centimetres wider than its predecessor. Its boot will have a capacity of 355 litres (63 litres more than the current version).

The new Seat Ibiza will initially offer two petrol engines, 1.0 TSI with 95 and 115 CV. Towards the end of the year, a 1.5 TSI with 150 CV power unit will join the petrol engine range. The diesel offering will consist of an evolution of the 1.6 TDI four-cylinder engine with outputs of 80, 95 and 115 CV. Most of these engines can be fitted with the DSG dual-clutch sequential gearbox.

The leaked images also show a higher-quality interior. The materials used and their finish level appear to have improved noticeably. Among its new optional extras, the standout items are an eight-inch touchscreen with internet connectivity, Apple CarPlay, sat nav, rear camera and keyless start.

The new Seat Ibiza incorporates the latest driver assistance systems, including traffic jam assist, lane change warning, pre-collision warning, fatigue detection and automatic city emergency braking.
