This is what the new Volvo V90 looks like months before its presentation

The Volvo S90 has only just been unveiled a few weeks ago, standing as the new flagship of the Swedish brand in the saloon segment.
As is customary within the marque, a few months after the saloon’s launch the estate version will arrive, and it has already been spotted a few months before its public presentation.
Unlike the S90, which was revealed ahead of time due to Chinese miniatures with an appearance identical to the production version, in this case the images circulating online are of a pre-production unit, at scale, as is logical, 1:1.
The look of the V90 -which is what this model will be called, an evolution of the previous estate version, known as the V70- does not differ much from the design trends of the latest creations. It keeps the front end of the S90, with light clusters and a grille very similar to those of the XC90.
The overall design of the model is quite similar to that of the model it replaces, the V70. In this case we are talking about evolution rather than revolution. It offers elegant and athletic lines, just like its saloon sibling. Inside, it is expected that, especially in the rear seats, the amplitude figures will be better than in the saloon.
Mechanically it will also share powertrains with the S90, so the entire engine range will be four-cylinder, with the top-of-the-range version being the T8, with plug-in hybrid technology and more than 400 CV of combined power.
Its official presentation is expected at the Geneva Motor Show, in March 2016.
