This Lancia Stratos has reached a value of over 400,000 dollars in an online auction
This Lancia Stratos has been auctioned for 475,000 dollars and is in immaculate condition. The original Ferrari engine has covered a total of 71,008 km.

Classic vehicles face two paths at the end of their lives depending on the commercial success they have had. Many of them, despite being fantastic cars, are forgotten and their value simply plummets. However, other more fortunate models enjoy great success today, or even greater than they experienced during their production era. This applies to the Lancia Stratos, one of the most emblematic Italian sports cars of all time.
The Lancia Stratos is world-renowned for its participation in the world of competition, specifically in rallying. This vehicle belonged to Group 4 and, in order to homologate it, the FIA required a minimum of 400 vehicles built. It is estimated that around 452 Lancia Stratos were produced, something that gives this vehicle a high level of exclusivity and, at the same time, has become one of the hardest vehicles to see anywhere in the world.
Inside, it had a V6 engine sourced from Ferrari, which had previously been used in the Dino. It produced 190 CV in standard form, but for competition a turbocharger was used to raise that figure to 480 CV for Group 5. In the world of competition it was a real feat and won countless times driven by Sandro Munari. But today we are going to focus on a very special unit.

This is a standard-production Lancia Stratos HF Stradale, which was auctioned online just a few days ago on the Bring a Trailer website. This unit dates from 1974 and is in perfect condition but, the most striking thing about this particular Stratos, is its “high” mileage. The vehicle auctioned showed 71,008 km on the odometer, a fairly high figure considering the type of car it is. However, this has not prevented it from reaching a high value in the bidding.
It is chassis number 214 of the nearly 500 Lancia Stratos that were built and it is painted in Rosso Arancio Rally to match the beige interior , a combination very characteristic of Italian supercars. All the elements of this model are original and, without a doubt, its new owner is going to enjoy this beautiful and immaculate Lancia Stratos greatly.

The final bid was, specifically, 475,000 dollars, a price that is typical for this type of vehicle. It is common given the low production of the Stratos and its charismatic design, making it one of the most beautiful vehicles in the entire history of the motoring world.
