Model Y Tesla Electric Cars SUV
This Tesla Model Y has only two seats and will be available in limited quantities
Tesla wants to position itself in the segment of two-seat battery electric commercial vehicles, but for now only in France and for a limited time.

The Tesla Model Y is the most requested car in the world. Its characteristics have made it not only the best-selling electric car in 2023, but also overall. And now, Tesla has just announced a version of this model that we did not expect and that breaks with everything we know about it. But this comes with a catch.
The Tesla Model Y will have a two-seat version, but it will only be available in France and for a limited time. This version is due to French legislation, since in this country, commercial vehicles with two or three seats do not have to pay VAT. This makes it a segment that business owners watch closely and in which Tesla wants to stand out.

At least 6.5 million vehicles with these characteristics are on the road in France. So it is a segment in which Tesla wants to be present. The version presented by Tesla does away with the rear seats. Instead, there is a large cargo space. In total, it reaches 2,158 litres, a more than considerable space for transporting parcels or anything else that may be needed.
To prevent the transported loads from damaging the seats, these have a barrier at the rear, which keeps the cargo from hitting them. It is designed for business owners who transport goods, although it is also useful for self-employed workers who need to move their tools from one place to another.
One of the things that surprises about this vehicle is the range offered by this version of the Tesla Model Y. This variant offers a total range of 565 kilometres, about 32 kilometres more than the standard version on which the commercial version sold in France is based.
For now, it will only be available in this country, but if the launch campaign is successful, it may reach other markets. By the way, it will only be sold from 4 March to 31 July.
