Three new special editions for the Audi A1

Audi has just launched three new special editions of its A1, further emphasising the sportiness of this model. It will be available both in the three-door version and in the five-door Sportback variant. Its exterior and interior have been fully personalised by the Quattro GmbH division and Audi Exclusive.

This range is called the Audi A1 Amplified and Audi A1 Sportback Amplified, although there will be three small divisions depending on how much money is spent. The basic, plus and advanced levels start at €1,990, €3,990 and €6,990 in Germany, with the last one only available with 1.4 TFSI or 2.0 TDI engines.

In the entry-level trim, the exterior features 17-inch light-alloy wheels with five black spokes, a decal running from the bonnet to the boot lid that gives the paintwork a matte touch, a rear spoiler and a two-tone bodywork. Inside, the air-conditioning vents have been painted in the same colour as the exterior, and finally the floor mats and seat stitching provide contrast with the interior.

In the Amplified Plus trim, the bodywork gets aerodynamic elements, LED rear lights and a gloss-black diffuser, accompanied by a dual exhaust outlet on its left side. Moving inside, the A1 gets a sporty black roof, the centre console is painted in the bodywork colour and an LED interior lighting pack.

For the most demanding customers who want an exclusive car, there is the Advanced trim. It is characterised by including all the extras mentioned above plus 18-inch wheels with a propeller design and the option of fitting semi-bucket seats upholstered in leather. I must say that, from personal experience, this last extra is almost essential for this model: they are comfortable, luxurious, exclusive and grip perfectly when driving sportily.

It can only be chosen with two body colours: red and white, two shades that give this urban luxury car the sporty touch it needs.
