Tips for cleaning your car so it looks nice and shiny

During rainy seasons it is important to spend some time cleaning the car. Yes, we know that you only need to think about washing those annoying water and mud stains left after a brief shower, but for that very reason, you should devote a little more time to leaving the car clean and shiny, even though the weather keeps dirtying it again.

It may seem very simple to do. Just drive the car through a car wash tunnel or use a pressure water lance and there you go! But some people prefer to do it at home, by hand and with great care. We suggest some tips to make the washing as efficient as possible and to keep the car spotless and stain-free.

To wash the car, you have to keep in mind that water must be used to keep the paintwork moist. If you try to wash it dry, even with soap, the particles of dust, dirt or any other element on the bodywork will rub against it and may scratch the paint. With water, they will slide off and cause no problems. You should not be afraid to use it, since, as with everything, it is what cleans best.

When you start cleaning the car, it is better to begin with the wheels, then move on to the bodywork. Once these two elements are clean, move on to the interior and finally, do the windows. This way, you will avoid having to clean again a part of the vehicle that has already been cleaned.

You should use a suitable tool for each part of the car. Wheels have special brushes that help leave everything clean because they reach places other brushes cannot. For the bodywork it is advisable to use microfibre cloths, which capture and lift dirt better without scratching the paint.

The vacuum cleaner is another very important cleaning tool. With the different nozzles you can reach every corner and leave it very clean. To avoid annoying water drips on windows and mirrors, you should pass the air jet from a hair dryer to remove water from the corners of the mirrors and anywhere it may collect.

Finally, protect the bodywork with a layer of wax, which performs that function and also prevents it from getting dirty immediately, which is welcome. The problem of rain may make it dirty again, but by devoting a little time each week, for example, you can keep it clean and in perfect condition.
