The 2014 range of the Toyota Avensis has already gone on sale, with some additions to the range and the technological novelties that mark the debut of the Toyota Touch 2 and Toyota Touch 2 & GO multimedia systems. It also introduces new wheel designs and a new colour, also available on other Toyota models such as the Auris and the Verso.

Starting with the devices that enhance connectivity and driver assistance, the Toyota Touch 2 will come as standard on the Advance and Executive trim levels. It offers a higher-resolution touchscreen, Bluetooth hands-free system, rear-view camera, MP3 and iPod connectivity, and various displays where you can check vehicle information or manage multimedia connections.

The Toyota Touch 2 & GO complements the previous system with the GO navigation system, featuring navigation with real-time traffic information and searches with Google Street View and Panoramio, as well as an emergency call function and several Toyota assistance services.

The Avensis will now offer a wider choice of wheel designs for customers to choose from, on the Comfort and Advance trim levels. For the first trim level, the wheels will be 16-inch aluminium-coloured units fitted with 205/65 tyres. For the second, the wheels will be 17-inch darkened units with wider tyres. The new colour shade being added is called Bronze Maroc.

As for engines, there will be no changes to the Avensis range, which will retain one petrol version and three diesel versions. Inside, however, Toyota will now add a new tyre pressure gauge to the instrument cluster, on the Advance and Executive trim levels. This gauge will be mandatory for all models in Spain from 1 November onwards.

The 2014 Avensis range is already available at Toyota dealerships in Spain, from 19,641 euros for the Avensis Sedan and from 22,840 € for the Avensis Cross Sport.
