Toyota Corolla GR-SPORT: now on sale for under €27,000
The Toyota Corolla GR-SPORT is now on sale in Spain with a starting price of €26,750. These are all its differences compared to the rest of the range’s versions.
A few months ago we brought you the first details of the GR-SPORT version of the Corolla. In March last year, we tested the entire range of the new Japanese model that returned to our country after several years hidden under a pseudonym. After testing that complete range, which includes 5-door, 4-door and estate versions, we later previewed the version that is now on sale.
Price with the launch campaign
Toyota Spain has already revealed that its Official Dealer Network has the new Corolla GR-SPORT in stock. This model, with the sportiest trim available for the range, starts at €26,750. The starting price of the sportiest version in the range is genuinely affordable when compared, for example, with the entry-level version. That version is cheaper, but the price difference is not excessively wide. The Corolla is in fact one of the 5 cheapest compact cars with an ECO label on the market.

The Japanese are also offering the new Corolla GR-SPORT with a fairly good financing and added-services programme. The services include a 4-year warranty, 4 years of maintenance and a first year of fully comprehensive insurance. The financing programme Toyota Complet lets you pay for this sporty version of the Corolla at €245 per month.
Upgraded standard equipment and sporty details
The most important thing was to tell you how much this new Japanese variant costs. But it is also worth discussing the novelties it brings compared with its siblings in the range. The first thing to know is that it is only available with the 5-door bodywork and paired with the 184 CV engine, a hybrid of course.

In terms of design, it features the typical exclusive details, with GR-SPORT engravings on the steering wheel or gear lever, or sports seats with mixed cloth/Alcantara upholstery. On the outside it will have a black rear badge (instead of the blue used on all the brand’s hybrids), a rear diffuser and an exclusive front grille. The 18-inch alloy wheels are also of a specific design, and the bodywork will be available in three colours, one of them exclusive to this version: Bi-tone Ascari Grey.
The most notable piece of equipment is the option of fitting the Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). This suspension can vary the dampers across up to 650 positions, adapting their response and firmness according to the condition of the road and the driver’s inputs.
